Ecuador and Hungary become closer in their bilateral relations

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, Genaro Baldeón, received the formal visit of Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjártó, who heads the Hungarian delegation visiting Ecuador.

The Ecuadorian Minister held a meeting to learn about the prospects of the Hungarian Government, after the reopening of its embassy in Quito, which will have participation in Colombia and Venezuela. Peter Szijjártó expressed his country’s interest in strengthening relations with Ecuador, bilaterally and in trade exchange. This is part of its overall policy of openness and its strategy towards the South, which has prioritized relations with Latin American countries.
